Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Personal Lines Producer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining profitable relationships with personal lines clients and growing our book of business through new client sales and service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Account Development: Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in office, online, by phone, and through written communication.
  • Client Relationships: Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support.
  • New Business Growth: Actively prospect round accounts and solicit increases in existing client coverage as well as network for new clients, including win backs.
  • Coverage and Quotations: Obtain best coverage/rate for insured, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage; follow up as necessary with inspection, photos, and other documentation. Present policies to insured and educate them on coverages and rates.
  • Renewal and Retention: Support and prepare clients for renewal, retention, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Existing Client Needs: Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs.
  • Key Metrics and Reporting: Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved and execute sales activity documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
  • Ongoing Education: Maintain CE and participate in ongoing education and keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience and Licenses: Hold the insurance license required by your state and have a minimum of two years of personal insurance account management experience, as well as a Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience.
  • Knowledge and Abilities: Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and maintain an existing client base.
  • Sales Success and Presentation: Have a proven track record of business-to-business sales success. Possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales.
  • Presentation and Communication: Be people-oriented, customer-focused, ethical, and professionally assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing existing clients.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Possess outstanding organizational skills with an ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision, sound business judgment, strong decision-making, and superior written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Information:

We estimate the salary for this position to be approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
