Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments, surgeries, and procedures, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
  • Referral Management: Process referrals, maintain accurate records, and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, physicians, and care teams, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, patient concerns, and other operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of process improvements.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and departmental procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in medical scheduling or patient access.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and scheduling software.
