Job Summary

Broward College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Graphic Design to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching graphic design courses and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach graphic design courses to students at various skill levels, including introductory and advanced courses.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in graphic design, and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement curriculum changes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Masters of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or related field, or Masters of Arts with 18 graduate credit hours in Graphic Design.
  • Three or more years of professional experience in graphic design, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Teaching experience in graphic design, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching graphic design courses at the college level.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
