Job Summary

This role acts as a navigator for patients requiring prosthetics and orthotics, ensuring seamless care coordination and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with new and return patients to determine Durable Medical Equipment needs and gain authorizations
  • Register and schedule patients, providing estimates of services and advising on payor requirements
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective care coordination and communication
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record System (EPIC) and other tools to manage patient information and workflows
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and prosthetics and orthotics treatments and terminology
  • Stay up-to-date on payor billing requirements, CPT-4, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for Rehabilitation Services
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record System (EPIC)
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in distracting and pressured environments with flexibility, good concentration, and minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
