Job Title: Lead Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Counselor to join our team at Opengate Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Residence Manager in maintaining an effective behavior/habilitation program for adults with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the training of residential counselors on data collection, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ensure that all assigned resident methodology programs are implemented according to resident schedules.
  • Coordinate leisure schedules and monitor leisure programs to meet individual residence interests and needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention assistance and relief coverage as required.
  • Follow federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe, healthy, and clean work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred or two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Some supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License within the Tri-State area.
  • Ability to display leadership skills and relate well to individuals, families, and staff.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.

Salary: $20.50
