Job Overview

Midtown Table, an Italian-inspired restaurant, seeks an experienced Artisan Bread Baker to shape breads by hand using basic ingredients. The 5-day workweek includes Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with no Sunday shift required.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000, depending on experience. About the Role

This Artisan Bread Baker will prepare, measure, mix, cook, bake, and execute recipes from scratch, including sourdough bread, French baguettes, and pasta. Essential duties include upholding sanitation standards, maintaining organized pastry stations and equipment, and ensuring necessary ingredients are on hand and in inventory.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in baking breads from scratch - 2+ years
  • Particular expertise producing naturally leavened, artisan breads
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely
  • Adept at using commercial bakery equipment
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
