POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Electrical Technician will collaborate with a small team to service our retail clients, executing all electrical tasks and assisting with various duties as required. This role includes supervising Apprentice Electricians on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, install, or repair electrical systems and components (e.g., fixtures, switches, receptacles).
  • Lead the field team effectively.
  • Provide on-the-job training for apprentices as necessary.
  • Conduct electrical work in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety protocols.
  • Install equipment and fixtures according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform minor carpentry tasks as needed (e.g., replacing drywall, painting).
  • Maintain electrical systems by ensuring proper wiring and equipment usage; replace light bulbs, switches, etc., as required.
  • Troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems, including replacing wires and connectors.
  • Document work performed and repairs made.
  • Keep the work area clean and maintain equipment.
  • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled labor related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various electrical systems and equipment.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring parts and supplies are organized.
  • Undertake any additional duties necessary to support our vision and mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Appropriate Electrical License in the state of Michigan.
  • Familiarity with current NEC and State or Local electrical codes.

  • Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Design: Ability to generate creative solutions and apply design principles with attention to detail.
