Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology team in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Job SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients in the ambulatory clinic settings, adhering to medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures.
- Direct and lead other assigned team members, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
- Meet all requirements for a Registered Nurse – Ambulatory/Outpatient II, including graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and two years of acute care experience.
- Participate in regular team meetings and continuous quality improvement activities, maintaining knowledge of care teams for coordination of patient care, self-management, population management, and communication skills.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of North Carolina.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within one year in select areas.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, visitors, healthcare team, physicians, administrators, leadership, and others.
- Ability to assess nursing needs of acute and chronically ill patients and their families, independently seeking out resources and working collaboratively.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships, teaching patients and families in accordance with the nursing plan of care, and basic computer skills and ability to learn new software programs.
- Subject to highly stressful and crowded conditions, moderate noise environment, and handles emergency or crisis situations.
- Required to wear PPE, handles absentee replacement on short notice, and subject to many interruptions.
