Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer Lead to join our team at Amalgamated Sugar Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for improving the mechanical integrity of our factory assets, reducing costs, and driving our Operations Excellence initiative forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement reliability improvement plans, including root cause failure analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and manage department personnel, including performance management, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Conduct equipment assessments and ensure optimal care plans are in place for critical equipment.
  • Collaborate with trade supervisors and planners to ensure effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Participate in functional focus groups and provide cross-functional support for reliability initiatives.
  • Serve as a plant stakeholder for reliability programs, including condition monitoring, PM programs, and failure investigation.
  • Support the R-Stamp Program as a backup Facility Quality Control Inspector.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant industrial manufacturing experience.
  • BS in Engineering, mechanical preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply results from preventive and predictive maintenance analyses.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex equipment and maintenance problems.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of computer use and computerized maintenance management systems (JDE Preferred, MS Office, Outlook).
