Speech-Language Pathologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Chillicothe, OH. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
  • Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
  • Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
  • Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements:

To be considered for this Speech-Language Pathologist position, you must have 6 months of experience and hold BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing. Additionally, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is also essential.

Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
