Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide exceptional speech and language services to students in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support and enhance student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments, progress, and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Offer consultation and training to school staff and parents on speech and language development and intervention strategies.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Pennsylvania state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education certification as an Educational Specialist Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech and language therapy.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
