Job Summary:

Strategic Systems is seeking a highly skilled Field Network Technician to join our team. As a Field Network Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, troubleshooting and repairing network issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support to clients, including troubleshooting and repairing network issues, installing and configuring network equipment, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Install, configure, and maintain wireless routers, switches, and other network equipment.
  • Perform PC refresh, desktop replacement, and laptop replacement tasks, including setup and installation of new equipment.
  • Travel to client locations to provide technical support and maintain good customer focus, meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, servers, and printers.
  • Work under general supervision and collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • 3+ years of customer service experience.
  • CAT5/CAT6 network cabling routing/termination/testing.
  • Install Conduit/Wiremold as needed for best cable management.
  • IT rack installation (patch panel, switch, firewall, router, NVR, power supplies).
  • Reliable transportation (reimbursed accordingly).
  • Able to work weekends, staggered or late shifts, possibly including evenings and/or weekends.
  • Personable and able to interact with a wide range of users and environments.
  • Can work on a ladder or lift and are able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Able to work from a bent, crouched, or kneeled position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Smartphone with tethering/hot spot capabilities.
  • Laptop.
  • Basic hand tools.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
