Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant - Float Pool is a key component of our team that works closely with the primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care to our community, ensuring services are provided within the Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides exceptional customer service by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner
  • Reviews and updates patient charts for upcoming visits by verifying that all diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other medical records are correct and up to date
  • Measures vital signs such as pulse rate, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Performs departmental-related clerical duties such as checking inventory, stock supplies, track referrals, and answer phones as needed
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Active Medical Assisting Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of medical assistant healthcare experience
  • Two years of clerical experience in a physician's office
