Career Services Coordinator

Hondros College of Nursing is seeking a Career Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our student services department, you will be responsible for providing career services resources to students, identifying and promoting career opportunities, and maintaining student records.

  • Provide career services resources to students, target groups, and community members
  • Identify, promote, and seek career services opportunities for current students and alumni
  • Maintain continual contact with current students and alumni to ensure thorough and current knowledge of student statuses
  • Provide career coaching to students regarding resume building, the interview process, job expectations, and professionalism
  • Participate in campus and College-wide events
  • Collect and upload Career Placement Questionnaires and Authorization to Release forms
  • Coordinate efforts to bring employers on campus for career fairs, meetings, and other career-related events
  • Maintain student/graduate records and student placement files according to Hondros College of Nursing policies
  • Upload and maintain job leads to internal student database of available job opportunities
  • Organize internal job posting boards to ensure they are clean, neat, and display current listings
  • Assist graduates with providing resources for success, such as boot camps and review sessions
  • Answer phone, schedule appointments, greet students, respond to questions, and refer students to other college support services
  • Distribute informational material to faculty, staff, and students
  • Assist in the preparation of forms and reports
  • Participate in new student orientation activities
  • Maintain students' records, logs, and databases
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least one year experience in career counseling, student services, or campus operations position
  • Excellent knowledge of career services and student placement processes
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and record management skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong knowledge of career development and job search processes
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain security of confidential student records
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population
