The Role

This position works onsite in our Minnetonka, MN location in the Cardiac Rythm Management Division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Professional to provide engineering support to device manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will develop and implement efficient, cost-effective process improvements, applying theoretical principles and creative/analytical techniques typically acquired in a recognized four-year or more academic course of study. They will exercise an appropriate level of technical judgment in planning, organizing, performing and coordinating product development engineering assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide engineering support for existing operations, including dimensioning and tolerance evaluations of components, drawings and tooling.
  2. Perform electrical analysis of failed components or devices for troubleshooting and corrective action purposes.
  3. Oversee device configuration control and modify the configuration as required.
  4. Write Engineering Test Reports (ETRs), memos, Engineering Change Papers, create travelers, and develop written operator procedures.
  5. Perform process validations on equipment and processes as required.
  6. Resolve and/or facilitate the resolution of problems, including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence.
  7. Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  8. Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years) in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant design and manufacturing work experience as related to medical devices.

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

We offer a competitive salary range of $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
