Job Responsibilities- Participate in the screening, evaluation, and care of inmates under the supervision of a physician and/or registered nurse.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
- Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained.
- Coordinate with other medical and ancillary personnel to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in the patient's condition.
- Provide appropriate nursing interventions in emergency situations.
- Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned by the facility.
- Active Virginia license.
- CPR Certification.
- Ability to work 2 weekends a month, 1 major Winter holiday, and 1 major Summer holiday.
