The Visual Arts Instructor will play a vital role in leading, instructing, and inspiring participants in visual and/or digital arts classes, ensuring a rewarding experience for both students and their families while embodying the YMCA's core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Share your enthusiasm for the arts with the community.
- Deliver direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for participants in visual arts programs.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to create lesson plans that cater to the diverse abilities and ages of the participants.
- Assist in organizing visual arts exhibitions and prepare students and their artwork for display.

- You possess 5 years of formal training in visual arts.
- You have 1-2 years of experience teaching visual arts or serving as a teaching assistant.
- You are capable of instructing both beginner and intermediate art classes.
- You are enthusiastic about teaching visual arts to a wide age range, from preschoolers to adults.
- You are prepared to complete Child Abuse prevention training on your first day and participate in required online and in-person training sessions.
Work Schedule: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week.
