We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Delta Electronics (Americas) Ltd. as a Power Electronics R&D Engineer focusing on cutting-edge on-board chargers for electric vehicles (EVs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop on-board charger solutions for EVs, leveraging expertise in power electronics and electrical engineering.
  • Conduct research on power factor correction topologies and optimize dual-active-bridge and resonant DC-DC topologies.
  • Implement new bidirectional devices in various applications, ensuring high efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for technology integration, driving innovation and excellence in power electronics.
  • Conduct simulations and prototype testing to validate designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics and EV charging, applying knowledge to drive business growth.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for product development, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in power electronics and electrical engineering.
  • Experience in power electronics design, specifically EV chargers, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Knowledge of power factor correction and DAB topologies, with expertise in working with wide band gap devices.
  • Proficiency in working with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, with hands-on experience in designing and testing power electronics systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the automotive industry, specifically in EV charging systems, with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of industry standards related to EV charging, with expertise in designing and testing EV charging systems.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware design and testing, with a strong understanding of power electronics and electrical engineering principles.
