Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Security and Maintenance: Maintain the security and networking of enterprise boundary enclaves and devices.
  • Routing and Switching: Tier III O&M of Juniper and Cisco routers to include troubleshooting and implementation of routing updates.
  • Firewall Management: Implement new firewall rules along with associated routing to fulfill firewall change requests.
  • Network Performance Monitoring: Responsible for installing software, applying patches, managing file systems, and monitoring performance of firewall systems.
  • Firewall Support: Provide support for Palo Alto, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), and Forcepoint firewall equipment and applications.
  • Proxy Policy Management: Generate, determine impact of, and implement custom proxy policies and/or policy exceptions in response to ongoing technology implementation activities on the program.
  • Proxy Subject Matter Expert: Function as a SME on ongoing technology projects, providing integration of other technologies within the program.
  • Troubleshooting: Support the troubleshooting of web connectivity problems to determine root cause.
  • Proxy Solution Upgrades: Perform Proxy solution component upgrades, testing and configuration.
  • Incident Response: Research and develop evidence collection, protection, and analysis techniques for customer owned and maintained hardware and/or software.
  • Real-time Monitoring: Provide real-time monitoring and alerting of security incident investigations on perimeter/internal infrastructure.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Provide day-to-day Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for all incident management events and outages.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with IT staff on projects and initiatives.
  • Reporting: Provide input for monthly progress and status reporting of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Technical Support: Work with corresponding technical support teams as required to resolve network traffic concerns.
  • Analysis: Utilize monitoring tools and log collectors to provide in-depth analysis of traffic anomalies and issues.

Requirements:

  • Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly
  • Experience: 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education.
  • Qualifications:
    • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
    • Boundary Protection Technologies: Experience in configuring and troubleshooting boundary protection technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Forcepoint appliances.
    • Routing and Switching: Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco routers and switches.
    • Protocols: Experience with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VPN's, VRF's, MPLS.
    • Boundary Protection Best Practices: Working knowledge of boundary protection best practices.
    • Routing, Switching, and Security Technologies: Understanding of routing, switching, Internet Protocol (IP) subnet, Network Address Translation (NAT) and security technologies.
    • Ruleset Engineering: Demonstrated ability to engineer and modify rulesets to allow connectivity for new customer requirements.
    • Documentation and Schematics: Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and develop schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and documentation such that the supported equipment and software can be maintained with minimal training.
    • IT Service Management: Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.
    • Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills.
    • MS Office Products: Intermediate-level knowledge of MS Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
    • Project Management Professional Certification: Desired Qualification.
