Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to provide supervision and support to our clients, ensuring their safety and well-being. This includes:

  • Providing assistance to clients in working with groups and handling individual problems
  • Setting limits for behavior and creating documentation of client progress
  • Identifying the need for professional services and communicating findings to staff
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the environment of care
Essential Duties

This role requires:

  • Being aware of client locations and activities at all times
  • Using verbal de-escalation methods to redirect client behaviors and prevent/respond to crisis
  • Facilitating daily schedules, including activities, chores, and meal service
  • Completing daily shift notes and communicating with treatment teams
  • Supervising medication administration and maintaining training records
  • Providing transportation for clients and maintaining a safe and legal driving record
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or sociology (preferred)
  • Prior experience in behavioral health treatment settings (plus)
  • A valid driver's license and eligibility for insurance coverage
