Company Overview:
KIPP Delta is a member of the KIPP national network, which comprises 275 public charter schools focused on preparing students for college. Currently, KIPP Delta serves over 1,200 students across five educational institutions in Arkansas.
Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Principal, the Dean of Students for grades 7-12 acts as a key educational leader in the organization and management of school programs and activities. This includes oversight of curriculum, instructional practices, student behavior, attendance, athletics, and extracurricular initiatives, as well as the supervision and assessment of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in the design, execution, and assessment of support programs tailored for at-risk students.
• Undertake various administrative tasks to assist the Principal in school management; assume Principal's responsibilities when necessary.
• Provide instructional leadership and support to the educational staff.
• Oversee and evaluate the performance of designated personnel; assist in the recruitment and selection of new staff members.
• Develop and enforce disciplinary protocols in line with district policies and legal requirements; engage with students, parents, and community stakeholders to address concerns.
• Supervise students during school hours, ensuring appropriate behavior and adherence to guidelines.
• Manage attendance-related functions, including communication with parents regarding student absences and tardiness.
• Guide various faculty and student programs; participate in classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage in meetings related to Individual Educational Plans and Student Study Teams as necessary.
• Act as a liaison for after-school programs and student government initiatives, coordinating with relevant staff and community partners.
• Attend and supervise school events, including evening activities, and collaborate with extracurricular program leaders.
• Work alongside the Principal to cultivate a secure and supportive learning environment, including emergency preparedness planning.
• Maintain comprehensive records and reports as required by district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Participate in administrative training and meetings to enhance leadership skills and stay informed about curriculum developments.

• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to build relationships with students and families.
