This role involves managing and directing assigned projects, ensuring effective field operations, site safety, productivity, and quality assurance while coordinating with trade contractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and enforce Safe Work Practices during all Pre-Installation Meetings, emphasizing site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct weekly on-site safety meetings to align team members and monitor high-risk areas.
- Implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures for any non-conforming work, ensuring thorough documentation and communication.
- Supervise the construction of projects with annual revenues ranging from $15 million to $40 million.
- Regularly assess monthly Project Cost Summary Reports for adherence to budget estimates, focusing on identifying and addressing significant variances.
- Develop preliminary schedules, milestones, and critical material delivery timelines based on the Phased Sequencing Plan.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Assistant Superintendents and field staff assigned to the project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a field role for a commercial general contractor or subcontractor.
- In-depth knowledge of project planning and scheduling across various construction trades.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial construction practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
- Strong mathematical skills along with excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional reasoning and comprehension skills.
Physical Requirements:
To perform the essential functions of this role, the employee must meet certain physical and mental demands. This includes frequent sitting, standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, reaching, climbing, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
