A Day in the Life

As a Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing nursing practices based on the latest evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and excellent patient care.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Administering medications using the latest advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure patient safety.
  • Documenting patient care using our electronic documentation system to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Providing patient and family-centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
  • Coordinating patient discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuum of care.
  • Meeting the necessary licensure and certification requirements, including a current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license and BLS/CPR certification.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or participation in our Nurse Residency program.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with our interdisciplinary team.
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
  • A strong sense of accountability for improving patient outcomes.
