Lead the Way in Emergency Room Nursing
Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital is seeking a skilled RN Manager to oversee our Emergency Room department. As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining throughput within the department, understanding ER metrics, and creating innovative strategies to improve overall metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support staff in direct patient care roles, including Trauma and Clinical Lead positions
- Implement interventions to meet productivity targets and control expenses
- Oversee training and maintain records of competencies for individual files
- Participate in recruitment efforts, including hiring fairs and managing the extern program
- Perform 30-, 60-, and 90-day evaluations for new hires and annual employee evaluations for all staff
- Active participation in hospital-wide committees focused on Sepsis, Fall Risk, and Patient Experience
- Manage staff performance and behavior, including constructive feedback and performance improvement plans
Requirements:
- Valid and current Arizona RN License or compact state license with the ability to become licensed in Arizona within 30 days
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- PALS (American Heart Association)
- TNCC (Preferred or Obtain within 6 months of starting)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business, Public Administration, Management, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years as a Licensed RN with at least 2 years in an emergency/critical care setting and 1 year in a leadership role as an RN
