Job Title: Special Education Teacher for Local Contract

Phaxis is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for a local contract position in Exeter, New Hampshire.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to empower students with diverse learning needs by providing a supportive and adaptive educational environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and other educators.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with students, parents, and other educators.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of students with a range of disabilities, ensuring access to the general education curriculum.
  • Employ specialized instructional strategies to promote student achievement and foster independence.
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction based on ongoing assessments.
  • Provide a structured and nurturing classroom environment that supports students' emotional and behavioral needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid New Hampshire Special Education Teaching License.
  • Demonstrated experience with high school-aged students with disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of the legal aspects of special education and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
