We are seeking a skilled GI Endoscopy Technician to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System. As a key member of our endoscopy team, you will provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for all patients.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain vital signs, perform point-of-care testing, and stock unit supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and functional work environment, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies under clean technique.
- Assist with transportation of patients to ancillary departments or inpatient units as directed by licensed staff.
- Perform vital signs, such as recording temperatures, pulse rate, blood pressure, and monitoring EKG and cardiac monitoring.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, or LPN certification or completion of 1-2 years of nursing school.
- Basic typing and PC/software experience.
