POSITION SUMMARY
The MRI Imaging Specialist operates MRI equipment at a proficient level, requiring minimal oversight of technical aspects.

This role demands independent decision-making, creativity, and initiative to effectively apply imaging principles and techniques for diagnostic radiology.

The candidate must possess the essential skills to conduct procedures for patients across all age groups, including adolescents, adults, and seniors.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic training program is mandatory. Certification in MRI by ARRT or eligibility for certification is required. The candidate must meet the ARRT registry criteria. Knowledge of MRI principles and techniques must be acquired through formal education, workshops, or hands-on clinical experience. A minimum of three months of additional training in MRI imaging techniques is necessary, with eligibility to pursue ARRT Certification in MRI. Extensive experience in MRI is preferred. CPR certification is also required.

Skills and Knowledge:
The candidate must be trained in MRI safety screening protocols. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ability to demonstrate self-motivation in enhancing skills and competencies is expected.

Key Abilities:
Proficiency in using RIS/PACS for image archiving is necessary. The ability to initiate IVs for contrast examinations is required. The role demands independent work in accordance with physician directives.

Exemplary interpersonal skills are expected, ensuring that patients feel valued and cared for, fostering a welcoming environment that encourages future visits.

The candidate should exhibit proper telephone etiquette and possess strong attention to detail. Comfort with learning and utilizing new computer systems is essential. Consistently meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction is a key expectation. The ability to work autonomously and interact with patients and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner is crucial.
