Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical surgical environment.
Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Perform focused interviews to identify specific patient needs and assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
- Monitor patient care requirements and prioritize actions accordingly.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure consistency between patient plans of care and actions.
- Provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic patient environment.
- Initiate and evaluate patient and/or family education.
- Revised patient plans of care based on evaluation, changes in medical plans of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
- Document patient responses to nursing and other interventions.
- Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs.
- Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
- Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the chosen facility.
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
- Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation).
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
- Current BLS card.
- Successful completion of testing process.
