Responsibilities:


As a Telemetry Nurse at CommonSpirit Health, you will utilize your nursing expertise to meticulously monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, oxygen levels, heart rhythms, and respiratory rates.

You will also provide reassurance to patients and their families by clearly explaining test results and assisting them in making informed healthcare decisions.


Each day, you will be an integral part of our nursing team, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to closely observe patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.

Building trust through effective communication and real-time application of your knowledge will be key to your success in this role.

Your enthusiasm for delivering exceptional care, eagerness to learn, and ability to engage with patients and their families will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels regularly.
  • Promptly report and address any changes in patient conditions.
  • Thoroughly explain test results and procedures to patients and their families.
  • Educate patients on post-hospital care, including medication management and preventive measures.

Dignity Health offers an Education Benefit program for eligible employees after a designated period, providing financial assistance for educational pursuits. Full-time employees may receive substantial support over five years, while part-time employees can also benefit from this program.



Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • ADN, Diploma, BSN, or equivalent.
  • Current RN License in good standing.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience in a medical/surgical acute care setting.
  • Strong skills in cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, including intra-aortic balloon pump experience.
