About the Role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as a caregiver to residents in a long-term care setting, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
  • Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents
  • Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
