Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specimen Collector to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Medical Specimen Collector, you will play a critical role in the collection of patient specimens for laboratory testing. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect patient specimens according to established procedures and protocols.
Administer oral solutions as required and accurately enter data into our lab technology systems.
Verify and confirm patient information and test orders using our approved tools and systems.
Process specimens for transport, including labeling, centrifuging, and aliquoting.
Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management, sanitizing, and filing.

Requirements:

Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Keyboard/data entry experience and ability to navigate our lab technology systems.
Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
High school diploma or equivalent and medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
