Gateway Foundation is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential tools and knowledge for recovery from substance use and mental health disorders. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing and executing all nursing duties from clients' admission to program completion. This includes consulting with clinical team members to develop and implement individualized substance abuse treatment plans, pursuing continual improvement of nursing function, and administering medications as warranted.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute all nursing duties from clients' admission to program completion
  • Consult with clinical team members to develop and implement individualized substance abuse treatment plans
  • Pursue continual improvement of nursing function, underscoring ethics and consistent with regulatory standards
  • Administer medications and assist physicians in conducting examinations and treatments as warranted
  • Maintain required client records related to assessments, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Conduct educational classes and seminars for clients and staff concerning health, medical issues, infection control, and related topics
Requirements
  • Current License as a Registered Nurse in the state of hire required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Normal or corrected vision and some color vision necessary to read thermometers, blood pressure gauges, dipstick analysis results, and so forth
  • Communication abilities necessary to gather and exchange information with clients and staff in person or by telephone
  • Ability to respond to telephone, pages, and intercoms
  • Manual dexterity necessary to manipulate instruments and syringes, apply bandages or sterile wipes, accept and pass instruments and specimens
  • Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data on a regular basis
