Vault Manufacturing is seeking skilled maintenance specialists eager to advance their careers within a dynamic organization offering long-term, full-time opportunities.
Available Shifts:
- Day Shift: $17/hour - Monday to Friday 7am-3pm
- Night Shift: $17.60/hour - Sunday to Thursday 11pm-7am
Compensation: Starting at $31.50, based on experience
Position Objective: To enhance the production workflow by ensuring that all machinery and tools operate at optimal performance levels. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the skill levels of maintenance team members and provide training as necessary.
- Participate in production planning meetings to address maintenance requirements.
- Foster effective communication between shifts among maintenance personnel.
- Maintain open dialogue with operations regarding equipment maintenance schedules.
- Supervise staff responsible for the upkeep, repair, programming, and refurbishment of production machinery.
- Prepare facilities for new equipment installations and layout modifications, collaborating with external contractors.
- Contribute to the development of new preventive maintenance tasks and enhancements to existing ones.
- Manage timecards, schedules, and time-off requests for all team members.
- Identify opportunities for equipment and tool upgrades.
- Propose solutions to recurring reliability issues and implement planned resolutions.
- Report equipment-related issues to operations and recommend or execute solutions.
- Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout policies.
- Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Identify spare parts requirements and organize spare parts inventory.
- Organize equipment manuals for easy access.
- Aim to minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
- Utilize the SAP PM module for comprehensive maintenance reporting.
- Verify the completion of maintenance tasks and identify follow-up actions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or closely related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience supervising maintenance staff.
- A minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Vocational or Technical degree/certificate or Journeyman card with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections.
- Competence in applying mathematical concepts and operations.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and write clear correspondence.
- Analytical skills to synthesize complex information and design workflows.
- Business acumen to understand the implications of decisions.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices for manufacturability.
- Familiarity with engineering fundamentals, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
- Awareness of federal and state regulations.
