Gateway Health Services Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Mental Health Clinical Trainee to join our team. As a Clinical Trainee, you will work under the direction of the Treatment Director and under the clinical supervision of the Mental Health Clinical Supervisor to develop clinical skills and deliver clinical services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Client Services: Provide diagnostic assessments and individual and group psychotherapy to clients, including those with mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disorders, or traumatic brain injuries.
- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Participate in and/or conduct assessments and treatment plans, plan-of-care reviews, and discharge plans as needed or directed.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses, prioritizing client and program safety.
- Service Coordination: Participate in coordination of services through the recognition of the multiple needs of the client, with other providers in the community, to provide necessary resources to the client.
- Skill-Building and Coaching: Provide various skill-building, teaching, and/or coaching as it relates to the individual's goal and/or treatment plan.
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and training for new employees.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with completing necessary client intake and admission paperwork and providing program orientation, if applicable.
- Education: Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in the behavioral sciences, or related fields (e.g. psychology, social work, etc.), and be on a track for an independent licensure in the State of Minnesota (LICSW, LP, LMFT, LPCC).
- Experience: Qualified individuals must have a minimum of 1,500 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services to adults, adolescents, and/or children with mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disorders, or traumatic brain injuries.
