Job Title: Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Therapist to join our team at WestCare Foundation. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing individual, group, and family counseling services to our clients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality counseling services, completing documentation for clinical records, and participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. You will work closely with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling services to clients
  • Complete documentation for clinical records, including Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and psychosocial assessments
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss client progress and develop treatment plans
  • Monitor client behavior and make recommendations for discharge planning
  • Supervise and direct direct care staff as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Regional Vice President
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, childhood education, education counseling, or a similar field
  • Current, active clinical license
  • Holds a current QMHP level certification as a counselor for alcohol, drug, family, or related services from the National Association of Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselors, the National Board of Certified Counselors, or a similar organization
  • Ability to pass first-level and NABS background clearance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of initiative and ability to lead and follow
Working Conditions:

The Therapist will work in an indoor and outdoor setting, with direct contact with clients of all ages and levels of functioning. The work environment is fast-paced, and the Therapist must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The Therapist will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the possibility of working more hours as needed. Regular attendance is required, and the Therapist must be able to work before and after normal working hours as necessary.

The Therapist must be able to perform the essential duties and activities of the job with or without accommodation, including physical demands such as standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
