Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the management of our unit. As a Registered Nurse Float I, you will assume responsibility for a group of patients and provide care through the therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and collaboration with other healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor unit activities and contribute to the management of the unit, including staff development and education.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members through verbal and written communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in electronic medical records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Acute Care hospital experience preferred, but not required.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of employment or compact.
  • BCLS Certification.

Work Environment:

This is a per diem, as-needed position, offering flexibility and variety in your work schedule.
