As a Senior Fire Alarm Systems Engineer at Henderson Engineers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the safety and efficiency of our projects. We are dedicated to not just constructing buildings, but also enhancing the experiences and safety of the individuals within them.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct calculations and design comprehensive engineering systems with a high level of autonomy.
2. Develop detailed electrical system layouts, schematics, and drawings.
3. Review technical drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
4. Research and assess the feasibility of various systems and equipment, providing informed recommendations.
5. Foster and maintain strategic partnerships and client relationships to support business growth.
6. Pursue continuous learning opportunities in industry software, including Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
7. Assist in project coordination tasks, including managing communications, schedules, and quality assurance.
8. Provide training and support to team members as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, along with 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience in the field without a degree.
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license may count for one year of direct experience.
- Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu at an intermediate to advanced level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Experience in designing fire alarm smoke control systems.
- Completion of the FE exam, along with LEED and/or WELL accreditation.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering design principles, industry codes, and standards.
