This role is responsible for the overall supervision of the Poker Room, ensuring that all games are dealt fairly and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in poker, with experience in training and developing new dealers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and verifying the operation and conduct of designated game areas
- Ensuring games are dealt to the customer reflecting a high degree of proficiency and to the pace of the customer
- Supervising poker dealers and providing training to ensure proper procedure of casino rules and regulations
- Ensuring proper procedure of game rules and regulations
- Maintaining bank floats
- Reporting significant cash and cheque transactions
- Verifying issuance of credit after all necessary signatures are confirmed
- Tracking essential play and relaying all pertinent information
- Acting as role model and motivates subordinates to provide superior level of customer service to the guests
- Handling guests concerns quickly and efficiently within scope of authority
- Verbally informs Manager, as well as Surveillance of unnatural or irregular play
- Verbally informs Manager of disputes on game
- Knows and abides by IGC Regulations and company policies and procedures
This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
Key qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Four (4) years Casino Operations experience (or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience)
- Excellent math skills and the ability to multi-task
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Must be able to perform basic math calculations
- Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public
The work environment is a smoking establishment, and the ideal candidate will be able to work in a highly populated fast-paced and noisy environment.
Additional requirements include:
- Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission
- Must be able to qualify for and may be required to obtain and maintain an Indiana Horse Racing Commission License
