Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medication, and performing routine office procedures.
- Assist patients with their health education needs, provide instruction, and refer them to appropriate resources.
- Document patient observations, actions, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and OSHA standards.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as preparing charts, records, and lab forms, as well as processing drug refills and monitoring station logs.
- Facilitate timely and accurate communication within the clinic, ensuring that patients and providers receive necessary information.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (LPN) or completion of a medical assisting program (CMA).
- Current licensure or certification in Minnesota (LPN) or Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through AAMA or AMT (CMA).
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to use English grammar and spelling correctly.
- Ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions, and to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- At least six months of recent experience in a direct patient care setting.
- Computer skills and proficiency in other languages may be required.
The Medical Assistant and LPN position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Manual dexterity is required, and the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently is essential. Some positions may have lifting requirements.
