Lead Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Accountant to join our team at Discover. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and review of financial statements, managing the accounting team, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the accounting team, including supervising and mentoring staff, and ensuring that all accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and risk management, to ensure that accounting information is accurate and reliable.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Master's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in banking, payments, financial or regulatory reporting, or related field preferred.
