About the Role
Southern Dental Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Orthodontist to join our team. As an Orthodontist, you will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating dental malocclusions and oral cavity anomalies. You will design and fabricate appliances to realign teeth and jaws to produce and maintain normal function and to improve appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients to assess abnormalities of jaw development, tooth position, and other dental-facial structures.
- Design and fabricate appliances, such as space maintainers, retainers, and labial and lingual arch wires.
- Adjust dental appliances to produce and maintain normal function.
- Coordinate orthodontic services with other dental and medical services.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree, licensed in state in which practicing or have the ability to obtain licensure upon graduation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
- Completion of a general practice residency (GPR) or advanced education general dentistry residency (AEGD) preferred.
- 2-year orthodontic residency.
