Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Zabbix Architect to join our team at Apex Systems. As a Zabbix Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Zabbix monitoring solutions in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and Design: Assess the client's current environment and identify monitoring requirements. Design and implement a scalable and robust Zabbix monitoring solution.
- Implementation and Integration: Develop and apply Zabbix templates for monitoring various metrics including CPU, memory, disk space, system services. Integrate Zabbix with ServiceNow for seamless ticket creation and incident management.
- Alarm and Alert Management: Define and implement criteria for alarms to convert to tickets, ensuring minimal noise and false alarms. Establish and configure maintenance periods and alerting logic for distinguishing between production and development environments.
- High Availability and Redundancy: Configure high availability and redundancy for Zabbix to ensure continuous monitoring. Provide guidance on backup strategies for Zabbix configurations and data.
- Documentation and Training: Create detailed documentation and provide training to the client's team on managing and maintaining the Zabbix environment.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Assist with any troubleshooting and optimization of the Zabbix setup.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Zabbix Architect or similar role, with a strong understanding of Zabbix components and architecture. Extensive experience with Zabbix installation, configuration, and administration.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of monitoring and alerting best practices. Experience with integrating Zabbix with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. Proficiency in creating and managing Zabbix templates and triggers.
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Relevant certifications in Zabbix and ITIL processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Zabbix Specialist: Zabbix Specialist certification.
- Monitoring Tools and Frameworks: Experience with other monitoring tools and frameworks.
- ITIL Processes: Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
