Job Overview

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to join our team as a Compounding Care Specialist. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with a variety of medications and develop their skills in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate medication orders to ensure appropriateness, considering factors such as drug interactions and proper administration.
  • Verify that dispensed medicines are accurately labeled and supplied.
  • Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and facilities staff when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of customers' medical history, clinical data, and laboratory results.
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related queries efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related issues.
  • Oversee the preparation of medications.
  • Ensure proper storage and security conditions for controlled drugs.
  • Participate in on-call duties when required.
Requirements
  • Licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida.
  • Long-term care experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Previous experience in hospital and retail pharmacy or other medical fields is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of framework/ECM software are advantageous.
