Sanitation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Verano in Branchburg. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our warehouse environment.

The Sanitation Specialist is an essential role that ensures the health, safety, and well-being of our staff and customers. Your primary duties will include cleaning and supplying designated building areas, performing routine inspections, and carrying out heavy cleansing tasks.

• Clean and supply designated building areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning ceiling vents and restrooms.
• Perform and document routine inspection activities.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or repair needs.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Previous experience in a regulated field that adheres to health and safety policies and procedures required.
• Previous knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
• Must be comfortable with heights, soil and water, and tight spaces.
• Must be able to climb, squat, bend, twist, stand for at least 8 hours per day, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent.
• Must be able to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, and/or maintenance fields preferred.
• Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) knowledge preferred.
