Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our culinary team at Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa. As a Food Runner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining areas by delivering food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete.
  • Work closely with the expo team to ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the expo area and surrounding areas.
  • Assist servers and bartenders with tasks such as polishing silverware, restocking supplies, and preparing tables for large parties.
  • Run food to the pool deck and deliver to chairs based on floor plan.
  • Proactively support the restaurant team by monitoring the expo line activity and restocking the expo fridge with necessary items.
  • Collaborate with team members to communicate any special needs or guest requests.
  • Utilize the freedom to go beyond and take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
  • Ensure that all food items are properly garnished and presented before delivery.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative, and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations' skills.
  • Flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Possesses valid Food Handler's card.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and associates.

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work indoors or outside.
  • Ability to be on his/her feet for majority of the day.
  • Ability to climb stairs and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 60 lbs. at shoulder height.
  • Ability to bend, squat, push, pull frequently.
  • Ability to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally.
