Position Overview

Ascension Seton is seeking a dedicated Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology to enhance our team at Ascension Medical Group Seton Women's Health Williamson. This role presents a unique opportunity to deliver comprehensive medical services to a diverse patient population.

Key Details
  • Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology

  • On-Call Commitment: 6 nights monthly
  • Current Team: Collaborate with a group of 5 experienced OBGYNs

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and provide treatment to patients utilizing appropriate medical diagnostic skills.
  • Coordinate discharge planning in collaboration with case management.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness and quality of patient care.
  • Accept referrals from fellow physicians and serve as the admitting, attending, or consulting physician as necessary.
  • Participate in academic programs, including medical education and research, as required.
  • Ensure proper documentation that meets insurance requirements and address any denials promptly.
  • Engage in both inpatient and outpatient consultations for specialty care, which may include on-call duties.

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification: Must possess a valid Physician MD/DO credential from the Texas Medical Board.

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) is required.
