Traveling Catheterization Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team at St Joseph Medical Center. As a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise in the cath lab.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, including the setup and operation of medical equipment.
- Provide technical support to cardiologists and other medical staff during procedures.
- Monitor and maintain patient safety and well-being during procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff performance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Knowledge of IABP and Impella insertion procedures.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
This is a 13-week contract position with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, and may be required to take call. The working areas will be in the combined Cath Lab and EP unit.
