About the Role

We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Utility Distribution Auditor. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in outdoor environments, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and are eager to learn and grow with our employee-owned company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of work performed by vegetation contractors to ensure compliance with utility standards within 30 days of completion.
  • Evaluate circuit closure documentation to guarantee accuracy and document any deficiencies.
  • Reinspect areas of non-compliance until completion and notify utilities of damaged electrical equipment or facilities.
  • Provide weekly written and electronic reports of inspection results using data collection systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including validating trims/removals, assessing herbicide effectiveness, and incorporating priority trees into work planning software.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews, along with successfully completed performance reviews, is preferred.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, handle stressful situations effectively, and multitask with ease.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and correct arboricultural techniques for working near energized conductors.
  • Understand American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI Z133.1-2000) and have a basic understanding of electrical circuits, as well as proficiency in reading and interpreting circuit maps.
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with the general public, customers, and colleagues.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills are a top priority.
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
  • Proficient in map navigation skills and Microsoft Office, with experience in data collection software (GIS experience a plus).

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000, depending on location and experience.
