This position is an exciting opportunity to join the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a Registered Nurse in the Occupational Health department. As a key member of the team, you will provide competent, evidence-based care to employees and oversee licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to employees, including administering medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to influence care outcomes and promote worker-centered occupational safety and health procedures.
- Support worker health, monitor, and track the health status and well-being of employees, and assess workplace safety from hazards and contaminants.
- Direct the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies, and quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.
- Contribute to the development of care delivery models, participate in strategy planning, and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, directives, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth.
- Ability to work effectively in stressful situations, able to shift priorities based on patient needs.

Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm (subject to change based on agency needs).
Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
Participation in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program is a requirement for all Veterans Health Administration Health Care Personnel (HCP) - See "Additional Information" below for details.
English Language Proficiency.
