Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the CVOR, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Assist with surgical procedures, including cardiac surgery, thoracic organ transplant, and mechanical circulatory support.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in cardiovascular surgery and patient care.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year direct Operating Room Registered Nurse experience.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA).
- Ability to take call and rotate weekends, holidays, and off-shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vascular, Orthopedics, Robotics, Neurosurgery experience.
- Multi-specialty trained Operating Room nurse.
